DESIGNS

The Full Story
My Time At Burberry
Burberry was my first taste of product design in the real world, I was at Burberry for one year, and the wealth of knowledge I developed about process, software, and more was incredible. I had the pleasure of being taught by the best in the industry for design & analytics.

Securing The Placement
To get a design role at one of the largest fashion brands in the world, meant it was highly competitive. Securing the role was over two months with many rounds of interviews, projects, and assessment days.
Discovery
Any design project starts with discovering and researching competitors and capturing live or old data from digital platforms on multiple analysis tools. It is such a key stage to understanding the issue and where your design will affect the end-to-end journey for the user and the target funnels.

Design
Starting broad/experimental and homing in on a trial and testing design component. To innovate you have to explore every option to evaluate the best route to take a design down.
"If you haven't found the wrong answers how will you know yours is the right one?"
Deliver
I have quickly learned that the last 5% of striving for a complete design is the hardest. Going back and forth with the developer to make minute changes to achieve the desired spec is time-consuming but incredibly valuable to the user's experience and brand image.

Digest
The work doesn't stop when the design goes live, monitoring and evaluating the success of the design against KPI's and brief is incredibly important to upholding the work you create.
Team Work
Using every available resource is necessary to be a good designer. At Burberry, there is lots of highly talented teams you may lean on for guidance of help when working through a project.
